Electronic Science

History of the Department
The Department of Electronic Science was established in the year 1992 with initial funding from DOE and UGC. The department is entirely supported by the State Government since 1997
The major focus of the department is to create human resource of high quality & conduct frontline research in electronic science. The convergence between the Scientific & Engineering approach is instrumental in creating new areas of interdisciplinary nature. The interdisciplinary areas in Electronic science form the thrust areas of the department.
